Knowledge management is important. Brain dumps and putting knowledge in writing are the first step on this path. Otherwise, helpful information gets lost over time.

For many years I tried to find a convenient method for my personal knowledge management. After checking out different ways I came to the conclusion, that a personal Blog might be the right one to keep notes but also share them with others.

So with the help of the static site generator hugo, git versioning, and the markdown format here is another try to better organize myself.

Indeed, a blog made this way meets many of my requirements perfectly:

  • Simple (Markdown)
  • Fast (Pure HTML)
  • Searchable (Search index)
  • Structured (Categories and Tags)
  • Accessible (Notebook, Smartphone, etc.)
  • Versionable (git)
